"He's Not a Tame Lion" inspired by a quote from "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe" written by CS Lewis was created as part of a printmakers' show displayed at a production of the play by the same name. The lion here represents the creator, the metaphysical sun and the astrological Leo. The lion also is used to represent the highest level of being in animals (King of the beasts), and the most noble of elements gold. The disappearing act occuring in the 3rd variation is reminiscent of Alice's Cheshire cat.
